Sheep Sorrel / Essiac Core Herb
Rumex acetosella
Sheep Sorrel is the active core of Essiac Tea — the legendary Canadian cancer formula developed by nurse Rene Caisse from Ojibway tradition. Its anthraquinones and polyphenols show anti-tumour activity against colon, breast, and ovarian cancer cells. The original formula specifies sheep sorrel root as the most potent component. Thousands of cancer patients have used Essiac Tea since the 1920s.
