Bromelain, the proteolytic enzyme from pineapple, shows anti-cancer activity against breast, colon, lung, and ovarian cancers through MAPK inhibition. It dissolves fibrin coats cancer cells use to evade immune detection, enhances NK cell cytotoxicity, reduces cancer-associated inflammation, and reduces post-surgical swelling.
