White Willow Bark / Salicin
Salix alba
Anti-inflammatorymoderate evidence
Salicin from White Willow Bark is the natural precursor to aspirin and has comparable anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects. Aspirin has extensive epidemiological evidence for cancer prevention (especially colon cancer), and willow bark provides a gentler, slower-acting natural alternative. Regular use may reduce colon polyp formation and cancer recurrence risk.
