Laminaria japonica / Fucus vesiculosus
Fucoidan, a sulfated polysaccharide from brown seaweed, activates NK cells, promotes cancer cell apoptosis, inhibits angiogenesis, and prevents metastasis. Studies show activity against colon, breast, liver, and lung cancers. It is also used to reduce chemotherapy-induced immunosuppression and improve platelet counts.
