Ellagic Acid / Pomegranate-Walnut
Punica granatum / Juglans regia
Ellagic acid from pomegranate, walnuts, and raspberries inhibits cancer cell proliferation, blocks carcinogen binding to DNA, and prevents metastasis. It is converted by gut bacteria to urolithins — powerful anti-cancer compounds with demonstrated efficacy against prostate, colon, and breast cancers. People with specific gut microbiome profiles ('urolithin A producers') derive maximum benefit.
