White Peony Root / Bai Shao
Paeonia lactiflora
Paeoniflorin from White Peony root shows anti-tumour activity against colon, ovarian, and liver cancer cells and potently modulates regulatory T-cells (Tregs) — a key mechanism for overcoming cancer immune evasion. Used widely in TCM gynaecological cancer formulas, it also reduces treatment-related pain and normalises immune dysregulation from cancer.
