Ashwagandha
Withania somnifera
Withaferin A, the primary withanolide in Ashwagandha, induces apoptosis in breast, colon, prostate, and lung cancer cells, inhibits proteasome activity, and disrupts cytoskeletal proteins. Beyond direct anti-tumour effects, ashwagandha reduces cortisol, improves sleep, reduces cancer-related fatigue, and supports immune function during treatment.
